iPhone Ringtones

Friday, April 4th, 2008

We’ve just put up a whole new section of free iPhone ringtones at MacMost.com. The idea is to have a bunch of ringtones for people that want something different, but don’t have the time or know-how to make their own with GarageBand.
We’ve organized them into themes. You can easily get the ringtones on your iPhone by just “subscribing” to the podcast feed. This will download the ringtones to iTunes, and then it should automatically sync them over to your iPhone if you have sync turned on. Then you can use them as ringtones in your iPhone settings. You can also download them manually, and listen to previews.

Amazon.com iPhone Interface

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

Looks like Amazon is testing a new iPhone interface. I was surprised by it when I went to check a price yesterday while out in a store. Just check out their web site while using an iPhone to see. Looks like they are soliciting feedback. I just hope they retain the ability to use the regular site as well.

Real 3rd-Party Apps Coming

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Steve Jobs announced today that there will, indeed, be 3rd-party apps sanctioned by Apple. An SDK for developers is planned for February. I think the developer community is going to be strong for the iPhone. Micro-killer apps will be created (apps that are killer apps for small groups of people with different needs) and it will spur on lots of sales. Apple may indeed come to dominate the mobile phone market in the end.

iPhone Coming to UK

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

Steve Jobs made the trip across the pond to announce British iPhone plans. Looks like the iPhone will come to the UK on Nov. 9, and use the O2 mobile network. It will be an EDGE phone, using the same broadband type as in the U.S., which means it is probably exactly the same hardware. However, customers in the UK will also have access to wi-fi hotspots by The Cloud with their data plan. The iPhone will cost £269 ($535), with data plans starting at £35 ($69).
